While I disagree with almost every single statement the man made, some of the comments in the thread are a bit inappropriate, denegrating autistic people and geeks and probably reinforcing the Us vs. Them (heroic fantasy and science fiction geeks versus postmodern feminist uber-liberal urban fantasy) mentality.
Currently I am…
awaiting the publication of “The Still Heart Beats” which you should be able to purchase late this month.
awaiting the publication of “The Tigress,” which is finally looking to shape up with a concrete date (relatively soon, early next year)
awaiting a request for a full manuscript (can’t give any details right now.)
I wrote a piece that I feel strongly about, but can’t think of a single market that would publish a 100-word story with the somewhat strange (for lack of a better term) themes therein. It’s not speculative – one might call it literary though I disdain classification – and the conservative/Christian markets wouldn’t be interested in it. But I can’t really divulge much more. If you think you might be able to help, send me an email (see “Contact me” for the address) and I’ll send the piece to you.
Abandoned Towers is one of my favorite magazines. I might be a little biased since I have two stories up there, but you can find a wealth of great stories inside.
Angrok the Avenger is up on Residential Aliens.
To my pleasant surprise, Therese Arkenberg has compiled an anthology of sword and sorcery on AnthologyBuilder. Lo and behold, it includes my story “The City on the Rock.”
If you enjoy sword and sorcery, you should look into “Dragon Wings.”
I have sold a story to Residential Aliens. I expect it to come out sometime next month!
Another sale, also, to Ethereal Tales in their October issue.
Woohoo!
If Mr. Roberts’ idea of literature is where the genre is headed, I might just give up reading SF all together.
The latest episode of the Fetid Horde is up. Stay tuned–the story really begins to pick up speed in the next episode, I promise you!
